A bit of a follow-up on the previous 'the things you find' where we saw a lumber / materials yard. Lumber can also be imported, hence here is the follow-up to a location where lumber can originate form, other than a lumber mill. Of course a port could also be used to export, or transport lumber within the country. 
I chose this port as it looks like an industry that one could compress and model. The sheds in the background do not have to be modeled. Interesting to me is the switchback coming off of the yard.
The port itself, and track work, is of course far bigger then the images suggest. But I will leave it for the curious reader to follow the link to explore on his / her own.

A massive 25 track Railroad material yard, and a very organized one. It is next to the Roanoke yard, so I am assuming this is for the NS? If you know please let me know. Given the size of the yard I wouldn't be surprised if it supports their entire network. Or at least a big chunk of it!
